Last year, our good pal and most favorite elf (we’re a little partial because he brings us homemade Christmas cookies), Braces Brad, started his magical smile journey with Bennett Orthodontics by getting braces! Ever since, we’ve seen his smile get brighter and brighter with every appointment he’s made. Let’s take a look at the adventure that took place at his last appointment with us:
’Twas the day of his appointment so he left his small house,
He arrived and checked in with a click of a mouse.
…And then he remembered there was an arcade and decided that was way more important than rhyming!
Besides sitting on the shelf and making toys, playing Pac-Man in our arcade while he waits for his turn is one of Braces Brad’s most favorite hobbies! You better watch out — he’s pretty good at it! Those small, nimble hands and keen eyes (great for toy building) come in handy when playing video games.
After beating a few thousand levels in the arcade, he went to our teeth-brushing station and brushed and flossed his teeth and made sure he got all the gingerbread he had for lunch out of his brackets. After all, he wanted our technicians and Dr. Bennett to see how great his teeth are looking and didn’t want any leftover food to get in the way of a proper adjustment!
After his teeth were squeaky clean, Braces Brad skipped joyfully into Dr. Bennett’s consult room for a quick consultation before his adjustment. He tells us that his braces journey is going great thus far, except he started to get a few canker sores here and there ever since his mom started making her famous Christmas tree sugar cookies for the holidays.
We reminded him that too much sugar can cause mouth sores and gave him a quick reminder demonstration on how to properly brush and floss his teeth with braces to make sure he’s getting all of the holiday treats out of his teeth and brackets!
Next, Braces Brad went into the back to get a thorough check-up and examination. He always enjoys this part because he gets to sit back and relax, and he’s usually pretty tired after unleashing his inner gamer in the arcade.
He also loves this part of his appointment because he gets to hang out with all of his favorite friends at Bennett Orthodontics and gets to document his smile journey to share with his fellow elves by posting pics to Instagram and tagging @bennettortho. Selfie time!
Next, he got to pick out new colors for his rubber bands. He decided to go with his favorite combo of colors — red and green. He figured this would help his smile spread Christmas cheer! Plus, it matches his outfit.
Feeling confident after his adjustment, Braces Brad then headed for the check-out desk. While he was walking out, something caught his eye — a wall full of kids (young and old) who had completed their smile journeys. He decided to make note of all these bright, smiling faces to make sure they were all on Santa’s good list for keeping up with their appointments and getting their braces off!
Just as he was getting ready to schedule his next appointment, look who walked in! Another one of Santa’s many helpers (for those who want their gifts a little earlier).
After such a great visit to Dr. Bennett’s office, Braces Brad could hardly wait for his next appointment! As soon as it was scheduled, he started to dream of Pac-Man, sugar plum fairies, and his perfect smile that was soon to become a reality.
