When you arrive at our Mobile office, you’ll be greeted with a smile and receive warm welcome. We’ll introduce you to some of our talented team and give you a quick tour to help you feel comfortable and relaxed with your surroundings. At this point, we’ll review your medical and dental history, then take a few photos and x-rays of your face and teeth. These allow us to evaluate the bone health, structure, and position of your teeth, which is necessary for a proper diagnosis. Dr. Bennett will then perform a thorough oral examination to evaluate your need for orthodontic care. These diagnostic records will help him determine the best treatment option for you!
Because orthodontic treatment is a substantial investment of your time and finances, we want to be certain you understand each step of the process as it’s happening. We never want you to feel rushed or like your questions haven’t been answered! Once you’ve had your exam and we’ve reviewed the results, we’ll sit down with you and discuss:
- any orthodontic issues we find
- what treatment options we have available to correct the problem
- an estimate of how long we expect your treatment to take
- the total expected cost of treatment
- any payment or financing options we have available to you

The next steps in your orthodontic journey
Once your consultation is complete, we’ll schedule an appointment for you to receive your new orthodontic appliance. Depending on your treatment plan, you should expect follow-up appointments in our Mobile office every 6-12 weeks or so. During these appointments, Dr. Bennett will adjust your appliance if necessary, and check that your treatment is on track and progressing accordingly.
These visits are a vital part of your orthodontic treatment, so it’s important that you don’t miss them! We do understand that life gets in the way sometimes, though. While we do our best to make sure appointments are scheduled for a day and time that’s convenient for you, things may come up where you’re running late or can’t make your appointment. If this happens, we simply ask that you let us know as soon as possible so we can reschedule your appointment.
